Lithocarpus keningauensis  is a very rare Borneo endemic stone oak with a distribution limited to the Trus Madi mountain range east of the Tambunan-Keningau-Tenom  valley in central Sabah.

From the appearance of the fruit L. keningauensis appears to be closely related to Lithocarpus porcatus which is another Borneo endemic oak restricted to hill forest  with a more widespread distribution in the hills of Borneo.
