Fruit of Dillenia indica fruit from a treegrowing next to the entrance road to the Tabin Wildlife resort in Sabah, Borneo. In Sabah often grows laong the banks of the Kinabatangan and Segama rivers. The ripe fruit are much favored by elephants. There are local reports of elephants eating overripe fruit and ending up drunk !
